Gay Fulkerson

Dr. Fulkerson graduated from Grayson County High School and then graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Biology and then she graduated from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine . Her residency in family medicine was at the Trover Clinic Foundation Residency Program in Madisonville, Kentucky .

She is board certified in Family Medicine. She sees her patients in the hospital at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. She has been in private practice at 310 South Main Street Leitchfield, KY since October 1, 1996.

She is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association and is Past President of the Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians. She served as President of the KAFP 2009-2010. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

In her free time she volunteers at the Grayson County Humane Society/Leitchfield Animal Shelter. She also serves as a volunteer medical missionary for Baptist Medical Dental Missions International in Nicaragua and she sponsors a family in Nicaragua . The people of Nicaragua are very poor. They do not have the benefits we take for granted in the United States such as Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment, or disability benefits.

Dr. Fulkerson also likes spending time reading, playing the piano, and playing with her cats and her Dad’s border collie and doing arts and crafts.
